Sago Uppma

Nylon Sago /Sabudaana – 1 cup
Dehusked Green Gram Dhal – 2 or 3 handful
Grated Coconut – 2 handful
Urad Dhal
Red Chillies - 1
Green Chillies – 1 or 2
Water – 1 cup
  1. Soak sago in water overnight. Next day, water will be absorbed.
  2. Cook dhal and drain water. (Do not overcook)
  3. In a kadai, heat oil season with mustard, urad dhal, red chillies and jeera.
  4. Fry cut green chillies.
  5. Add soaked sago, cooked dhal and mix well.
  6. Add salt and coconut.
  7. Mix well and keep stirring in between for few minutes. Add little more oil if required.
  8. All ingredients should mix properly and upmma should not be sticky.
  9. Remove from fire. Serve hot with pickle.
This is very good to reduce the body heat.......
