Bottle Gourd Kheer

Ingredients
  1. Milk – ½ litre
  2. Sugar
  3. Bottle Gourd - 2 cups
  4. (Cut into small pieces)
  5. Poppy Seeds - 2 spoons
  6. Cashews - 6 to 7 (optional)
  7. Coconut - 5 to 7 spoons
Method
  1. Peel and cut bottle gourd into small pieces. (Avoid seeds)
  2. Pressure cook the veggie and drain them.
  3. Grind coconut, cashews and poppy seeds to smooth paste with little water.
  4. Boil milk. Add the ground paste and sugar and stir well. Add in the cooked veggie and stir well.
  5. Boil the kheer till they get cooked and the raw smell goes. Stir in between.
  6. Remove from fire. Garnish with fried cashews.
