Bottle Gourd Kheer
Ingredients- Milk – ½ litre
- Sugar
- Bottle Gourd - 2 cups
- (Cut into small pieces)
- Poppy Seeds - 2 spoons
- Cashews - 6 to 7 (optional)
- Coconut - 5 to 7 spoons
Method
- Peel and cut bottle gourd into small pieces. (Avoid seeds)
- Pressure cook the veggie and drain them.
- Grind coconut, cashews and poppy seeds to smooth paste with little water.
- Boil milk. Add the ground paste and sugar and stir well. Add in the cooked veggie and stir well.
- Boil the kheer till they get cooked and the raw smell goes. Stir in between.
- Remove from fire. Garnish with fried cashews.
