Ragi Vadai

Ragi is very good for health. It contains lots of proteins & Carbohydrates. We made lots of items using Ragi (Ragi kool, ragi roti, ragi puttu, ragi kali and this ragi vadai). Among all this is our all time favourite. So many dishes i learned from my mom & my mil. And this receipe is from my mil.

Ragi (finger millet) - 2 cup
Channa dal - 1/4 cup
Red chillies - 2 No.
Curry leaves - few
Onion - 1
Chilli powder - 2 tsp.
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry

1. Soak channa dal for half an hour. Drain water and keep aside.
2. Chop onion, curry leaves finely. Split red chillies.
3. In a bowl mix ragi flour, salt and chilli powder and add little water. Now add chopped onion, currey leaves, red chillies and soaked channa dal. Make a thick dough like vada batter
4. Take little dough, press it with fingers to make a small circle and fry this in a hot oil till crispy.
5. Now have hot crispy Ragi Vadai!

If u want to preserve for long time means don't use onion.

I prepare this very frequently becuase Uga loves this snack very much and me too.
