Rice Flour Rotis

Ingredients
  • Rice Flour - 1 cup
  • Roasted Gram Dhal - 2 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 3 to 4
  • Onions - 3 (medium sized)
  • Warm Water - As required
  • Plaintain leaf - 1 small
  • Salt - As required
Procedure
  1. Grind greenchillies, onions and salt coarsely.
  2. In a bowl, add rice flour, dhal, and ground paste
  3. Mix well. Add in water little by little and mix well to form a thick dough (like chappathi dough)
  4. Make round balls. Grease the plaintain leaf with oil. Keep a ball in the mid of the leaf and press with hands and make a thin roti.
  5. Heat a tawa. Reverse the plantiain leaf (along with roti ) on the tawa.
  6. Then remove the leaf slowly so that the roti is on the tawa.
  7. Add oil to the roti and toast on both sides till golden burn and crisp.
  8. Serve hot! Tastes good as a snack or a tiffen.
Note:
  1. Alter the green chillies as per your taste.
  2. If the roti is made too spicy, its tastes awesome with thick ghee.
  3. For kids chillies could be avoided. Onion roti also tastes good.
