Masala Idli

Idli - 20
Onions - 2 medium sized
Tomatoes - 1
Tamarind - small lemon sized
Sambhar Powder - 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp

Seasoning - Curry leaves, Mustard, Jeera, Red Chilli

  • Cut idli into small cubes. (Cubes will be in proper shape if idli is not hot.)
  • Chop onions and tomatoes.
  • Extract Tamarind Pulp
  • In a kadai, heat oil, season, and fry onions till transparent.
  • Add tomatoes and fry well
  • Then pour the tamarind pulp, sambhar powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Mix well and once it boils add the cut idli pieces.
  • Mix well so that masala gets coated well and becomes dry.
