Raita Specials...

Banana Raita

Banana
Thick Curd
Salt
Green Chilli

Cut banana into small dices and chop green chilli. Add it to curd with little salt. Season with mustard seeds, curry, jeera, asafotedia and urad dhal.

Pomegranate Raita

Pomegranate
Curd
Salt

Peel pomegranate and add it to thick curd with little salt.

Cucumber Raita

Cucumber
Thick Curd
Grated Coconut
Green Chillies

Cut cucumber into tiny pieces. Add little salt and keep them aside for a while.
Water from cucumber comes out. Drain them and add cucumber pieces to the curd.
Grind coconut and green chillies to smooth paste and mix it with curd.
Season and serve.

Note: Cucumber could also be grated..

Plantain Pith Raita

Chopped Plantain Pith
Coconut and green chilli paste
Salt
Curd

Mix the above ingredients and season with mustard, jeera and urad dhal.

Tomato Onion Raita

Tomato
Onion
Green Chilli
Curd
Salt

Chop tomato, onion, chilli and mix with salt and curd

Tomato Raita

Tomato
Curd
Coconut
Chilli
Salt

In a kadai add little and fry the tomato. Grind coconut, chilli, salt and fried tomato. Mix it with curd.

Lady's Finger Raita

Lady's Finger
Curd
Salt

Cut lady's finger into one inch pieces.
In a kadai with little oil season with mustard, red chilli, urad dhal and jeera.
Then add in the veggie and fry well.
Transfer this into a bowl and mix it with curd.
